Before you post
TikTok asks for a few choices on every post, and the composer shows them on the TikTok tab:
- Who can watch this: Everyone, Followers, Friends, or Only you. TikTok requires you to choose, so there is no default.
- This post promotes a brand, product, or service: turn it on for commercial posts, then pick Your brand or Branded content. TikTok labels the post "Promotional content" or "Paid partnership". Branded content cannot be set to Only you.
- Allow on this post: comments, Duet, and Stitch. A choice that is turned off in the account's TikTok settings stays off here.
After publishing, TikTok needs a few minutes to process the post before it shows on the profile.
Good to know
- TikTok has not opened its comments or messaging API to outside apps, so TikTok comments do not reach the inbox, and a first comment is not possible.
- On Free, eksis publishes up to 10 posts per account in any 24 hours. TikTok sets its own limit on paid plans without publishing a number, and that limit is shared with every app that posts to the account.
- Video and photo rules: TikTok specifications.
