Instagram publishes feed, carousel, reels and story. Every post needs media, so there are no text-only posts. Media accepted: images and video. Comments can be read, and you can reply, hide and delete them. Direct messages can be read and answered. A commenter can be answered privately by DM. Post metrics are available. A first comment can be posted right after publishing. eksis publishes at most 25 posts per account per rolling 24 hours.

- Images: up to 8 MB, aspect ratio 3:4 to 1.91:1, 320 to 1440 px wide.
- Video: up to 1 GB, 3 s to 15 min long, aspect ratio 1:2 to 1.91:1.

- Images: up to 8 MB, aspect ratio 3:4 to 1.91:1, 320 to 1440 px wide.
- Video: up to 1 GB, 3 s to 15 min long, aspect ratio 1:2 to 1.91:1.
Reels (reels)
- Video: up to 1 GB, 3 s to 15 min long, aspect ratio 1:2 to 9:16.
Story (story)

A value of the wrong type, or outside the allowed values, is refused with 422 and the code validation.failed, drafts included. An unknown key is dropped and reported in data.warnings.

Daily limit
eksis publishes up to 25 posts per Instagram channel a day. Instagram itself allows 100 posts per account a day. A post over the limit is postponed, not failed.
Good to know
- Only Business and Creator accounts linked to a Facebook Page can publish. Personal accounts are refused when connecting.
- A feed post with a video is published as a Reel.
- Instagram processes media after upload. A post still processing after 5 minutes fails.
