The API reference moved here from eksis.io/developers.

Tools

Every tool the eksis MCP server offers, and what each one may change.

What an assistant can ask eksis to do. Read tools never change anything. Write tools need the write scope, or an API key.

Every tool call counts as one request against the workspace's daily quota.

Tools marked as acting outside eksis change something on a social network for the workspace: a public post or reply, or a private direct message.

get_workspace

Describe the workspace

Describe the workspace this connection reaches: name, time zone, plan, the role you act with, the daily request quota, which features the plan includes (analytics, direct messages, webhooks), and how many channels are connected. Call this first.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

list_channels

List channels

List the social accounts connected to the workspace. Each channel carries its platform, connection health, and the rules of its platform: the content types it can publish with caption and media limits, whether text-only posts are allowed or media is required, and which comment and DM actions are available. Use the channel id from here as a target when creating a post.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

get_platform_capabilities

Platform capabilities

What each social network can do through eksis, whether or not a channel is connected: publishable content types with caption and media limits, whether a platform needs media (YouTube and TikTok publish video only, Instagram needs an image or video), which platforms expose comments, DMs, private replies, metrics, and first comments, and the reason when something is unavailable. Read this before composing for a platform you have not used yet. Pass platform to read one network.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

list_pinterest_boards

List Pinterest boards

List the boards a Pinterest channel can pin to. Every Pinterest post needs one of these ids as settings.boardId, so call this before create_post for Pinterest. Channel id from list_channels.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

get_tiktok_creator_info

Read TikTok account settings

Read what a TikTok account allows right now: the privacy levels it can post with, whether comments, duets and stitches are turned off, and its longest video. Call this before create_post for TikTok, then ask the user which privacy level to use: TikTok requires the person to choose it, so never pick one yourself.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

list_posts

List posts

List posts newest first, or oldest first with sort. Filter by status (draft, pending_approval, scheduled, publishing, published, partially_published, failed), by channel ids, by text in the title or caption with q, or by scheduled time with from and to. Returns nextCursor for the next page.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

get_post

Read one post

Read one post with every target: channel, content type, caption, media, status, permalink, and the failure reason when publishing failed. This is how you learn whether a post went out.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

validate_post

Check a post before saving

Run every check create_post would run, without saving anything. Send the same arguments as create_post. Answers ok, the problems each channel reports with the field they concern, blockers such as no free queue slot or a time in the past, and the warnings create_post would return. Call it before create_post when the post targets a platform you have not used yet, or when the user asks whether a post would go through.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

create_post

Create a post

Create a post for one or more channels. mode decides what happens: draft saves without publishing, schedule needs scheduledAt, queue takes the next free slot in the channel queue, now publishes immediately. Media must exist in the library first (see upload_media_from_url) and is referenced by id. When contentType is left out, the most fitting type for the platform and media is chosen.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Acts outside eksis: it can post publicly or send a private message on a social network. Cannot be undone.

update_post

Replace a post

Replace a post that has not been published yet. Send the whole post, not a partial change: targets left out are removed.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Acts outside eksis: it can post publicly or send a private message on a social network. Cannot be undone.

reschedule_post

Reschedule a post

Move a post that has not gone out to another time, or to the next free queue slot of its channels with mode queue. A draft becomes scheduled. The post is checked again like create_post. A post waiting for approval must be approved first.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Acts outside eksis: it can post publicly or send a private message on a social network. Cannot be undone.

approve_post

Approve a post

Approve a post a contributor submitted (status pending_approval), so it goes out at its scheduled time. Needs the editor role or higher. Read the post with get_post and confirm with the user before approving.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Acts outside eksis: it can post publicly or send a private message on a social network. Cannot be undone.

reject_post

Reject a post

Send a submitted post (status pending_approval) back to its author as a draft, with a note saying what to change. Needs the editor role or higher.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Cannot be undone.

delete_post

Delete a post

Delete a post that has not gone out yet. A published post lives on the platform and cannot be deleted from eksis.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Cannot be undone.

publish_post

Publish now

Publish a saved post right now. Returns as soon as publishing is queued; call get_post afterwards to see how each target ended up.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Acts outside eksis: it can post publicly or send a private message on a social network. Cannot be undone.

retry_post

Retry failed channels

Queue again the channels of a post whose publishing failed. Leave channelIds out to retry every failed channel. Returns as soon as they are queued; read get_post afterwards for the outcome.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something. Acts outside eksis: it can post publicly or send a private message on a social network. Cannot be undone.

add_queue_slotwritenonono
remove_queue_slotwritenonoyes

get_calendar

Read the calendar

Read what goes out when: every channel of every post scheduled between from and to, plus the queue slots in that window that are still free. Without from and to the window is the next 31 days; it can be up to 92 days long. The answer includes the workspace time zone.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

list_queue_slots

List queue slots

List the weekly times each channel publishes queued posts, in the workspace time zone. dayOfWeek 0 is Sunday. A post created with mode queue takes the next free slot of its channels; when a channel has no slots, mode queue fails with queue.no_slot.

Scope read. Only reads, never changes anything.

add_queue_slot

Add a queue slot

Add one weekly time to a channel queue: dayOfWeek 0 (Sunday) to 6 (Saturday) and time as HH:MM in the workspace time zone. Adding a slot that already exists returns it unchanged.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something.

remove_queue_slot

Remove a queue slot

Remove one weekly time from a channel queue. Slot ids come from list_queue_slots. Posts already given a time from this slot keep it.

Scope write. Creates, changes, or sends something.
